Lovely hearing Christine McVie's Desert Island Discs getting a re-run:

> Kirsty Young’s castaway is musician Christine McVie (from 2017). Christine died in 2022.
Christine Perfect, Christine McVie. Bluesy music hero of our times. Wow.
I didn’t realise, these tunes and that voice blend so smoothly and insinuate themselves effortlessly. Even for some of us who didn’t think that bluesy love songs would carve those deep blue ripples. Remarkable.

Christine McVie wrote,

Love this photo of Christine McVie in her early days. She grew up in Birmingham and played in a blues band called Chicken Shack. This is Christine - then Christine Perfect of course - onstage with Chicken Shack in 1968 #christinemcvee #fleetwoodmac #christineperfect #chickenshack #britishblues
... discovering that Christine Perfect's real name *was* Christine Perfect was a beautiful revelation - this is the page I first encountered her ... (I learnt so much from Pete Frames Family Trees)
I'd Rather Go Blind - Chicken Shack (1969)
If like many you are playlisting #ChristineMcVie here are some Fleetwood Mac songs she is known for:

RIP Christine McVie
She was pretty much everyone’s favorite member of Fleetwood Mac, she was often the eldest member of the group and whose songs have fortified the band from the 70s through the 90s. And she’s one of my all time favorite pop songwriters. Hell, Chicken Shack wouldn’t be the same without her.
“Why” is my favorite McVie song, the closer on 1973’s Mystery To Me. #FleetwoodMac #ChristineMcVie #ChristinePerfect
