grobi<p>TOPIC&gt; <br>Useful Code</p><p>The Sequencer: Detect one-dimensional sequences in complex datasets</p><p>The Sequencer reveals the main sequence in a dataset if one exists. To do so, it reorders objects within a set to produce the most elongated manifold describing their similarities which are measured in a multi-scale manner and using a collection of metrics. To be generic, it combines information from four different metrics: the Euclidean Distance, the Kullback-Leibler Divergence, the Monge-Wasserstein or Earth Mover Distance, and the Energy Distance. It considers different scales of the data by dividing each object in the input data into separate parts (chunks), and estimating pair-wise similarities between the chunks. It then aggregates the information in each of the chunks into a single estimator for each metric+scale.</p><p><a href="https://github.com/dalya/Sequencer" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">github.com/dalya/Sequencer</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="http://sequencer.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">http://</span><span class="">sequencer.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://defcon.social/tags/space" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>space</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/tech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>tech</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>science</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/astronomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>astronomy</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/code" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>code</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/unix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>unix</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/commandline" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>commandline</span></a> <a href="https://defcon.social/tags/plotting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>plotting</span></a></p>

Andrew Woods<p>Finally! I solved an issue I've been having with Ripgrep (rg) showing me annoying output.</p><p>The short version is that Ripgrep would often show me output like [... 0 more matches] or [... 2 more matches] at the end of each line of output instead of the matching text. This is super annoying!</p><p>The answer is that it’s caused by the —max-column and —max-column-preview options being enabled.</p><p>I feel much better now that I’ve solved this. Occasionally I want to unmount all filesystems on a disk / thumb drive (also lock encrypted volumes), but not actually physically detach the disk yet. With <code>--keep</code>, <code>om</code> will skip powering off the disk after performing all other steps.</p><p>Note to <a href="https://tldr.nettime.org/tags/Nix" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nix</span></a> / <a href="https://tldr.nettime.org/tags/NixOs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NixOs</span></a> users: I've created a separate <code>release</code> branch that will only be updated when a new release is published.
