Chang Terhune<p>You can tell when you're ready to explore MAXMSP when you want to adjust the Repeat rate on a device to play for 3 bars then the 4th either raises the rate randomly or does a specific little jiggle for a varied but less random gesture. And if this makes no sense to you then congratulations because it makes no sense to me either. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/maxmsp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>maxmsp</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/max4live" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>max4live</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/max" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>max</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/computermusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>computermusic</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/studiolife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>studiolife</span></a></p><p>P.S. <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://post.lurk.org/@sean_ae" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>sean_ae</span></a></span> if you answer this Ima block you because you &amp; Rob typed your way to the moon &amp; back on that AAA. :D</p>

"This synthesizer is the world's first programmable music synthesizer. The first piece of electronic music to win the Pulitzer Prize was made on it. Basically a two voice synthesizer with tone generation and composing in the left hand side and processing on the right hand side, including manual binary for the ordering of the effects processes. Which, for its time, essentially like a Turing computer, was one and a half tons, seven feet tall, 14 feet wide — it's quite a behemoth, but now it's a very large paperweight."
