Hearing me tell my stepmom how I want to start exploring soap operas after being into them as a kid, my dad suggested we watch Dark Shadows when he saw it on Prime assuming it'd be right up my alley and he is right, I really, really enjoyed the like 5-6 episodes we watched that only showed like a few total hours of one night.

I understand and appreciate why attitudes to beauty pageants have changed over the years, but I wish we could have kept Miss Ghost America and Miss American Vampire. Okay, these events were held to promote a couple of Dark Shadows spin-off movies, but they really should have stayed a thing. And why confine them to America, how about Miss Ghost World or Miss World Vampire (though I suppose Transylvania would be a shoo-in for that last one).
