LILYGO T-Deck Pro is a mobile dev kit with an ePaper display, QWERTY keyboard, 4G and

Last summer LILYGO launched a pocket-sized mobile communications device called the T-Deck Plus that looks like a phone, but is really more of a mobile dev kit with a 2.8 inch IPS LCD display, a BlackBerry keyboard, and support for WiFi, Bluetooth, and LoRa wireless connectivity… but no support for cellular networks.

The new LilyGo T-Deck Pro is another mobile dev kit with a similar design […]

The LilyGo T-Display K230 is a pocket-sized device with a 4.1 inch touchscreen AMOLED display, a camera, and support for WiFi and LoRa wireless communications. But it’s not a phone.

Instead, LilyGo sells this little device as a $99 dev kit (currently out of stock) that combines a Kendryte K230 dual-core RISC-V processor with a screen, memory, camera, and I/O.

If you make dev boards and you use 2.54mm headers, please put all the headers on THE SAME grid so your users can use a breadboard to assemble them. It's frustrating to have rows of leaning jumpers, and it's frustrating to have to come up with jigs to align jumpers.

Here's a board that did it right. Boards that do it wrong are too numerous to photograph.

Radxa introduces ROCK 2A and ROCK 2F single-board PCs with RK3528A chips

Radxa has unveiled two low-cost single-board computers powered by Rockchip RK3528A processors with four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores, Mali-450 graphics.
The Radxa ROCK 2A is a credit card-sized computer with a Raspberry Pi-like 40-pin GPIO header, while the Radxa ROCK 2F is a smaller board with fewer ports. But both support 4K video playback, WiFi 6 […]
