🍎 App developers face an unfair choice: Use only Apple payments (which millions of users can access in just two clicks) or offer a different payment method. But not both.

👀 With so many customers already tied to Apple’s payment system, most developers can’t afford to say no.

📌 Why can’t #developers choose what to offer?

“Before performing the study, the #developers in question expected the #AI tools would lead to a 24% reduction in the time needed for their assigned tasks. Even after completing those tasks, the developers believed that the AI tools had made them 20% faster, on average. In reality, though, the AI-aided tasks ended up being completed 19% slower than those completed without AI tools. […] Overall, the developers in the study accepted less than 44% of the code generated by AI without modification. A majority of the developers reported needing to make changes to the code generated by their AI companion, and a total of 9% of the total task time in the ‘AI-assisted’ portion of the study was taken up by this kind of review.”

Hey #FediHire , meet @Dominicd3213

He's an embedded systems and #fullstack #developer who loves making machines move and websites work. By day, he wires up #Robots with ROS 2, #arduino and LIDAR; by night, he wrangles #react #TypeScript and #MongoDB into sleek, responsive interfaces. Built #AI chat tools, and co-founded a trading platform.

He lives where code meets circuits, and believes great tech should be powerful and weird.

Anyone need a bright young guy like this?
