I just bought an EV?????
So far I have:
- added it to my insurance policy
- switched my Sirius XM subscription
- deleted the two random other saved Bluetooth profiles
- saved my favorite XM stations (still need to look up my FM radio numbers)
The only negative is that it doesn't have a cd player :(

Feds Halt the National #ElectricVehicle Charging Program
The US government has ordered states to retract their plans to build hundreds of federally funded #EVcharging stations, according to a memo obtained by WIRED.
The #NEVI program, established by 2021’s Infrastructure Law, attempted to build chargers along thousands of miles of federal highway, with a focus on places that might not otherwise be able to financially support a charger.

My wife and I's old car was getting super unreliable so we had to replace it. Our new car was delivered today and it's so nice! We got a 2025 Nissan Leaf. It's wild because it is technically a used car but it's a 2025 and had less than 3000 miles on it. I'm happy we were able to find this one as it was relatively cheap and I am currently unemployed but the payments on the new car are basically the same as our old one. This is the first time I've ever driven a fully electric car. One pedal driving is trippy but I was surprised how easy it was to adjust. I think I'm really gonna enjoy this thing. And as a bonus I didn't need to purchase from a Nazis to get a good electric car!

This thing is very unique and isn't a pedestrian raminator unlike the cybertruck
It's also been through things that would kill a cybertruck and its skid plate needs replacing
It's also carried a ton of solar panels and a 100gal water tank and everything needed for the vulpibus and it's previous owner used it as a work vehicle which is why the passenger side dashboard is torn up and scratched
Its getting to the point where the trunk light needs rewiring as that has failed and the driver heated seat needs reworking and the cig lighter socket needs replacement as thats failed and the cabin light needed replacement and
I just replaced the overhead cabin light
It's breaks are rusty so it squeals when you first move the car as it doesn't use it's friction brakes much and will need brake cleaner
It also has a swappable stereo and nothing connects to the Internet
You can also modify it as much as you like unlike a muskmobile and there's a modding community behind it
It also has regular cruise control and no lane keep assist
There's also no fucking car dlc
I do plan on lifting it eventually but that's only to install a new higher capacity battery (it will stick out a bit) when i am financially stable and it would be the height of the newer ones and it won't be a fucking pedestrian raminator height and won't have the sharp fake grill the newer ones have (i don't understand why many evs have a fake grill on them)

Driving my daughter's ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Subaru was ... different. Besides the fact that it is way noisier and slower in acceleration, the hardest thing to get used to was the lack of engine braking! Let off the accelerator, and it just keeps going! I sorely missed my regen braking on my #EV6. I have turned it to Auto Max. It isn't quite one-pedal driving (i-Drive in #Kia), but it is close. And that whole business about turning off the engine at stoplights!
