Went back to a 0.4 nozzle tonight and in the process I bumped the bed out of alignment. This is the worst part about older #3dprinters. Even with mesh leveling firmware, it can only handle so much skew before you have to manually adjust the bed screws. Tomorrow is going to be a fun day spent re-leveling the bed.

One of the best things I bought for my 3D printer.
CR Touch Auto Leveling Kit.

The hardware is pretty easy to install, updating the firmware is what took some time. It was real clear which firmware to use, and a couple didn't work at all.

I've only printed two things so far, but it is impressive what can be done when it makes adjustments for the bed. And I was pretty sure I had the bed level to start with.

Anyone know how to remove a bowden tube from an Ender 3 v2 Neo? It has a plastic collet and clip instead of a threaded retainer.

The blue clips come off easy, but the black collets do not budge no matter how I squeeze, pull, push, twist, bend, or pry. I ended up breaking them. Ordered some replacements, and I need to know how to do this properly. #3dprinter #ender3v2

Typically I don't modify my 3D printers, in this case thou, a simple mod will probably keep the filament from getting into the Z axis screw.
One of the few things I questioned when I put together the Creality Ender 3 v2 - I was sure I had put it together wrong, when of course my first prints had the filament running into the screw. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one, and that I did put it together right.

I'm giving my first 3d printer (an Ender 3 V2) to a family member. To make things simple I wanted to de-klipperize it and put the screen back on.

I was preparing to put the latest official firmware from 2022 on it but decided to see if there was anything better out there. To my surprise, there's still custom firmware being maintained and it's got a lot of really nice features!

I started seeing occasional ripples on my prints that looked like ringing but a little not? and today I printed something for someone that looked like ringing but was literally in the middle of a long-X-axis path and repeating on every layer despite the shape of the object not conforming to that repeat _at all_

and now I know a new way to diagnose a bad wheel bearing!

the good news is moving the bad one to the underside of the X-axis gantry solved it for now. also one of the other wheels is on its way out too. :/

the other good news is that these are cheap, but it's annoying that I lost one bearing entirely and was losing a second at the same time.
