I like this quote. There is so much meaning in it.

“People are getting sick of frameworks. All the JavaScript frameworks are so… what do you call it, like [un]wieldy. It takes so much work to just maintain this code, and then it updates to a new version, you need to change everything. PHP just stays the same and works.”

The New Stack · Developers Rail Against JavaScript ‘Merchants of Complexity’When both Pieter Levels and Alex Russell convincingly argue against using complex JavaScript frameworks, maybe frontend devs should listen.

@rebane2001 propably offering something like album_carousel function for an iTunes-Style Album Carousel where one just adds path/to/image.png, alt_text and link_url into a table and it'll "automagically" turn that into something that would otherwise necessitate dozens if not hundreds of lines of CSS manually including painful and labourus additions and deletions that are error-prone...

I mean, why else would one use #UI #Frameworks but to make it easy to get consistent design?

Lines of code? Bullshit metric.

Number of rando libraries you have stop using? Now we're talking.

4x points for finally escaping from a web framework (client- or server-side) that you used like a sucker 5–10 years ago to "get up and running quickly", and have been paying dev-time loanshark interest to ever since.
