Today's win: fiinding a workflow to produce G-code for a little 3-axis cnc machine so as to produce suddenly required cut-and-try prototype in plastic before going to steel-- with maximum laziness and minimum understanding. Time is short!

#Inkscape with #gcodetools extension to convert SVG to *.nc ticked all of the boxes.

Checking tool path after about 90 minutes of skimming documentation. :-)

@inkscape isn't just a beauty and powerful application for #artists, but with extensions like #gCODEtools and #LinuxCNC it becomes a free & open hub for #CAD & #CAM projects. It only requires the investment of a @Raspberry_Pi 5 to set this up. Amazing that it works so much better than #Adobe #Illustrator while cheaper as an iMac (including the CNC machine), isn't it?
