Hey there, any #VoiceOver peeps know how to configure a #UniversalAudio Solo/Arrow interface to record my #VO in a #Logic session with a client directing me on a video call? I’ve tried all the videos and articles about routing and virtual channels in #Console but in a recent Meets call, Meets just hijacked my audio so it was really quiet in Logic. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong. If you could explain it like I’m a baby that would be awesome. Don’t wanna use Loopback.

Ok another question for the linux recording crew: What plugin are you you using to map your edrum kits? From what I'm reading EZDrummer seems popular, piping through wine and some other app. Seems kinda nuts there's not a decent native way to do this. Is this really the best solution available? Please note - I'm highly particular about sound quality, as I'm used to working with Addictive Drums and the like. Square robo beats ain't gonna cut it.

I’m watching, from across the Atlantic, old friends struggling with a new reality. My heart aches for those who did not choose and do not wish to enter a new dark ages.

it’s rough and unprofessional, recorded at my desk with a phone, but some #music to express the sadness. Lyrics humbly taken and adapted from Emma Lazurus. The New Collusus

THE DISHES
A music video I threw together yesterday afternoon for a dance-y (did I just say that?) instrumental I made last year as a bit of an experiment. I don't know what my usual *thing* is, but this isn't it, hahaha! The video itself is a number of old vids of mine that I had kicking around (some of which I have posted here) stitched together.

I couldn't get the video size down enough to post it directly on Pixelfed, hence the YT link.

Turn it up and enjoy. Or if it isn't your thing, turn it off and enjoy!

10 years ago I tried writing one song a week for a whole year, with the intention of practicing songwriting and recording, and getting over the fear of people listening to me.

It was fun to work with these constraints, and while there were mixed results, it's one of the most fun things I've done. I learned a lot from doing and feedback on the songs, and eased my fears about recording.

Here's a selection with one per month. (1/14)
