Cassana 🍻<p>I watched this little exploration of the nyckelharpa yesterday. It even has a short explanation of the rhythm of polskas, which are often asymmetric. I really like the way they managed to capture the sound of the <a href="https://the-crossroads-inn.com/tags/instrument" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>instrument</span></a>, including the sympathetic strings and key noises. Good stuff.<br>The "weirdest" setting I've seen nyckelharpa being played in was gamelan, where it did the balungan (skeletal melody) plus drone, which worked rather well.<br><a href="https://the-crossroads-inn.com/tags/Music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Music</span></a> <a href="https://the-crossroads-inn.com/tags/Ethnomusicology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ethnomusicology</span></a><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0uinr8IyhY" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=W0uinr8Iyh</span><span class="invisible">Y</span></a></p>
