I know a few Ohioans and seen this topic come up. The Republican legislature is, intentionally, making this confusing, making it sound like voting No will protect citizens from gerrymandering, when voting Yes is what will actually protect citizens by having citizens control redistricting.

So, Ohio, vote YES on Issue 1.

In Ohio, we are voting in unconstitutional districts because Republicans ignored our last two anti-gerrymandering amendments.

Yes on #Issue1 would put districts in the hands of citizens, not politicians.

But the GOP supermajority is lying in the ballot language, lying that the amendment “creates a new board required to gerrymander…” blatantly false. Shame on the GOP for cheating and lying to citizens.

Weeks after #Ohio overwhelmingly voted to enshrine a right to #abortion in the state Constitution, abortion rights have secured another important win:
On Friday, the state Supreme Court dismissed a demand from the state to be able to enforce its six-week #ban, which has been blocked by an injunction from a lower court in Hamilton County since September 2022.

Explaining their decision to dismiss the state’s appeal, the state Supreme Court justices cited “a change in the law,” apparently referring to the successful abortion rights ballot measure, #Issue1.
