Life is Tetris<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://mas.to/@defcfun" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>defcfun</span></a></span> hi there. Interesting profile.</p><p>I went back to <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> -based systems after a little period on <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Gentoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gentoo</span></a>; I really appreciated USE flags but could never predict what an update would do.</p><p>I also saw a boost of a <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/GCL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GCL</span></a> release; I didn't know it was still being developed! Personally, I have gone from being a fan of <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/CommonLisp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CommonLisp</span></a> to actually learning <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Prolog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Prolog</span></a> (with <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Logtalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Logtalk</span></a>) instead.</p><p>Also a big <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Erlang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Erlang</span></a> fan, which is how I ended up at Prolog actually.</p>
Life is Tetris<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://tdd.social/@CodingItWrong" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>CodingItWrong</span></a></span> as a long-time Lisp fan (and a long-time Emacs user), I feel <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Prolog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Prolog</span></a> is more worth the force-multiplier and meta-programming buzz than Lisp. If you have the mental bandwidth, do try out Prologs like SWI or Ciao (or <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/Logtalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Logtalk</span></a>).</p><p>If you are dead set on Lisp, you could try it on a very capable platform using <a href="https://qoto.org/tags/LFE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LFE</span></a> - Lisp Flavoured Erlang.<br><span class="h-card"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@danielittlewood" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>danielittlewood</span></a></span></p>
