Makers of the fediverse. What are the options on the market for a #3DPrinter as a replacement (or complement) to a Bambu P1S? It needs to do multi material support (i.e. like the Bambu AMS), as well as the more advanced filaments like TPU. Quality needs to be as good as a Bambu printer. Bonus if the build plate is big enough for a 300mm x 300mm print.

What printers should we be looking at with these requirements?

And the floor is down! Couple of minor tweaks left (sand in between the pavers, maybe some corner braces) but this wood store is essentially finished. The flagstones came off Freecycle, pebbles came out of the ground when I levelled it (yes, it’s a very stony part of the allotment) and the three bits of stone have been sat on my plot for twenty years waiting patiently to become useful. The moral of the story children, is never throw ANYTHING away! #allotment #recycling #making

I've not had a proper power supply for years. Despite electronics being one of my more significant hobbies. I've always either made do with bodges, or borrowed from friends. I've been meaning to get one for the last few years but could never decide which one was best.

Eventually I decided don't let perfect be the enemy of good. So I built a basic single channel bench power supply that takes a USB-C PD input. And in theory can do 50v @ 5amps. But USB-C PD limits this to 20V @ 5a.

Do I #make things?

Yea

Recent Example: #MechanicalSystem for a hospital wing-->

My part-
I physically use a keyboard and mouse to tell a steel and #SheetMetal #fabrication shop what parts to build, how to build, how to assemble, and even where to drill the holes in concrete for the hangers to support said parts, all based on building program demands, which filter through an #Architecture firm, #Engineering firm, a General Contracting Firm, then to us, the Mechanical Contractor.
The space is existing.
We must coordinate as a #team.
We have deadlines.
I made some of the programs used in the process.
It gets c h @ o t ! c
The #making is a way of life at work and it keeps on burning after.
Time to #crochet my octopus.
