I want to thank those nonbinary people who are able to be visible in society. It's a dangerous place to be, but we need you.

For those nonbinary people unable (or simply unwilling) to be visible, thank you for making the world a little less lonesome and dangerous by simply existing as you are.

Make life difficult for those who wish to oppress, erase, and destroy nonbinary people.

Your oppressors are spoiled and accustomed to getting their way. They expect you to give in without a fight.

So, resist and make them afraid. Resist to keep other nonbinary people brave.

Try to find community in other nonbinary people for your own sake.

I know that it's hard to break from routine, and it can be dangerous to express yourself freely.

Nevertheless, finding a way to communicate with other nonbinary people will keep you and others strong.

Invest resources into what makes you proud to be nonbinary.

It's not selfish or frivolous to spend time, money, etc. on such things. It's often necessary for your health and survival in a society that is continually trying to erase you.

Take care of yourself, and you may even help other nonbinary people in the process.

The nonbinary world is not a museum. It's more like a community garden.

Help others and grow something. Feed yourself.

Little annoyed at reading content meant to explain nonbinariness to the general public that seem to make fun of and affirm using gender language for nby folks.

Glad *you* feel comfortable with being gendered by the binary, but there are still *many* nonbinary people who are not and need writers like you to 1. Treat us and our needs seriously and without belittling our efforts to be included and 2. Make sure you do not end with the gender binary as an option. You leave folks thinking of this as the best option and just makes *me* feel bad for not being okay getting a gendered term and making everyone's life *soooo diiifficult*

You should be proud of yourself as a nonbinary person.

You've overcome so much hatred and violence, and you still do. You've fought and won vicious internal battles against poisonous ideas inflicted on you. By being seen or by just existing you've made the world more hospitable for others like you.

Be proud that you've lived.

Waiting for a world where nonbinary people no longer face bigotry is probably not the best use of your time.

Instead, build yourself a shelter from the bigotry. It could be a hobby, something creative, or new friends that make the space for a nonbinary perspective.

You don't have to change the world to feel some peace.

It's true that there's more to life than the internet. It's also true that Earth is more diverse than the place you currently live.

If you have yet to find a place to belong as a nonbinary person, don't worry. It's a big internet and an even bigger world out there.

You'll find it.

Your value as a nonbinary person to the nonbinary community is not based on what you can measurably "contribute" to our general welfare.

You're valuable as you are.

We need both the expressive nonbinary activist and the more private nonbinary individual.

Everyone one of us is needed to show and protect the wholeness of a nonbinary person's life.

All nonbinary people belong in our nonbinary community no matter their orientation (whether it be romantic orientation, sexual orientation, or otherwise).

Nonbinary people who are aromantic, asexual, lesbian, demiromantic, pansexual, diamoric, gay, polysexual, bisexual, demisexual, unlabeled or any other orientation I have failed to mention all belong in this community.
