#introductions thread. Hi, we are the system. A nonbinary #plural and well, kind of disabled in other ways, very much #adhd and #misophonia #osdd diagnosed medically. We are #multilingual speak #Bulgarian #English #magyar a little. we support all plurals and this is a #safespace for all. also very girlish sometimes, straight, because guys are cute and kinda demisexual. No cops, no socialism, fashism, nazis etc. Stay far away from me. If you're kind, then follow, we don't bite. 1/3

I'm confused. As someone who has 2 close family members with #DissociativeIdentityDisorder previously called #MultiplePersonalityDisorder Where did all of these people with #plural in their bios come from recently? Is this a common perception of other #MentalIllness too? Is it a lifestyle thing? Are people just more comfortable to be seen now?

hello, cutie.city!!! introduction, take 2!

hi, i'm rune! :heart_disability: i'm nonbinary (she/her), bi/pan, polyamorous, pro-kink, and more! despite my limited spoons, i’m fascinated by most everything in the world, including...

- gaming (ffxiv, minecraft…) :gaming_love:
- writing (prose, poetry, roleplay…) 🖋️
- reading (sff, romance…) 📚
- programming & math :blobfox_computer:
- music (listening, performing, & composing) 🎹
- psychology & philosophy :galaxy_brain:
- visual art (illustration, animation, 3D…) 🎨

the list goes on! and there are so many fascinating things in the world i haven’t even heard of yet!

i'm an ADHD autist and i love getting to know people, but still learning how to make room for myself. i also suffer from complex PTSD and other disabilities, which have resulted in my plurality. i’m happy to meet singlets and other systems alike! :plural_ampersand:

i care deeply about accessibility and disability rights, queer rights, racial equality—really the whole spectrum of human rights (intersectionality is important!) as well as animal rights and environmental issues. honestly, i just care a whole-heckin-lot! :heart_progress::ms_globe:

unfortunately, this causes a lot of overwhelm and i’m struggling to balance effective activism with self-care. so i might not always be able to engage or research as thoroughly as i’d like. i do what i can to make informed choices and reduce harm, and i’m hoping to curate a space for myself that offers at least some relief from the dumpster fire we live in. :dumpster_fire:

there's probably still a million-billion things i'd like to add but can't remember. above all, the most important thing you need to know about me is that my favorite color is blue. :ms_heart_blue:

Hey there, we're the Chasms! ✨

We are a disabled autistic plural with polyfragmented DID.

We are also bedbound from Long Covid, have CPTSD, agoraphobia, panic disorder, and a bunch of other "fun" conditions.

We live with our nesting partner and a chaos of kitties! 🥰

2/3 #DIDAwarenessMonth continued

By raising awareness, the general public can gain a better understanding of the condition. It also helps to validate people with D.I.D. D.I.D Awareness Day offers a chance to accept their multiplicity and share their experiences with others.

Those with #DID may feel like they have multiple personalities living in their bodies. These personalities may have different names, ages, genders, and appearances and time periods. D.I.D. is frequently misdiagnosed, or not diagnosed at all, with the average person taking over 6 years to be diagnosed. Despite this, D.I.D is diagnosed in 1-3% of the population

@shunthepants @actuallyautistic i had the experience of fluctuating recognition of or identification with my own name. i used to desperately want nicknames; some were obvious derivatives of my given name, while others were completely different names, almost different identities. i would use one for a while and then end up hating it, and be unable to fully get away from it because that's how others knew me...

i also experienced fluctuating aversion to my reflection (not poor self-image), frequent dissociation, shifts in behavior and perspective, and more.

eventually i found out i am actually plural... which is supposedly more common in autistic brains?

Hi! Since my #introductions post got buried somewhere, here is another one. I'm a dragon, hear me roar. I'm Bulgarian, speak fluently both Bulgarian and English. Linguistics and IT student. I love singing, appreciate good music and conversations. I like reading and writing in my spare time too. I also game, though terrible it might be. I absolutely love #DoctorWho and #HomeAlone as well as #scifi and #LitRPG I used to draw and still love anything crafty. I am #Blind #OSDD #ChronicallyDepressed and #Misophonic I'm also #plural although this is not expressed much. I wish to keep things private, as much as I can, and all agree on it. I have a #dragon spirit and I am often confused about the meanings of some human things. My brain literally interprets almost everything, so I am going to be asking questions. A lot of them sometimes. I also study #Spanish and #German whenever time allows and my preferred music genre is #hardstyle I also enjoy #coffee and #tea I love British English and accents, although I can both write and speak either standards - American and British. I currently work in HR and I used to work as an event coordinator. That's all! Few! It was a long intro! Follow me, I do not bite.

Continued thread

A colleague from my team asked the translation of "má fé" and I answered "ill intent". As soon as these words came out of my mouth I was surprised for I could almost swear I would've answered "bad faith" which is the literal translation and the one used in Philosophy and Law. However, "ill intent" was a much better fit for the context of our presentation.

I felt like the #translation came from a different person than the one who was conscious.

#OSDD?

Hey everyone! I see we do #introductions here. I live in the PNW with my 3 girls and husband. I’m really loving the relaxed vibe.
I hope to make connections with other adoptees and deconstructionists, exvangelicals?? You know what I mean.
It’s really hard for me to post sometimes so if you see this, yay me!! I’ll tag some interests of mine as well.
