Aus Arbeitsmangel wurde der gelernte Zimmerer / Maurer 1933 entlassen und fand wegen der Wirtschaftskrise keine Anstellung mehr. Er lebte weiterhin bei seiner Mutter, die seit dem 1. Weltkrieg verwitwet war.Als sogenannter Arbeitsscheuer /Asozialer wurde er im Juni 1938 in Schutzhaft genommen. Ohne Verfahren kam er ins KZ Buchenwald. Jakob Pfluger starb am 27.12.1938. There, the entire region of <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/EastFrisia?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#EastFrisia</a> (as well as Ammerland and the German capital Berlin) is displayed on a scale of 1:87. The exhibition area covers more than 1,500 square metres. Buttons can be pressed at various points to provide entertainment. For example, a cruise ship moves towards a harbour and fireworks go off, or photographers snap a group of cyclists taking part in a race. And yes, there are also some ‘naughty’ movements in the undergrowth.
