It's undeniably spring now that it's March and the warmth in the air. Today is Kengo's made-up birthday. His Gotcha Day means more because it's real, but still Happy Birthday my buddy. We'll be together for what's left for us.

Felt like just looking back and posting a random photo of something just peaceful and relaxing from our many trips for, you know, reasons.

This is Parc Emmanuel Liais in Cherbourg. Liais was an astronomer and botanist who went to Brazil in 1858 for a solar eclipse, stayed until 1881, has a Martian crater named after him, and imported plants to France on his return.

A public park on a bright, sunny day although it's a little shady here as we're among a close covering of trees that surround a small but attractive pond. Bushes and flowering plants grow around the edges and there are trees spaced out around the far side partially blocking a view of a large greenhouse building at the back of a small stretch of neatly cut, green lawn. The pond's surface reflects part of the mostly clear sky and the trees and other greenery.
