Last night's ironing-time listening was the Life of the Record episode on The #replacements' Pleased to Meet Me. (This has been a favourite album of mine since its release.) Commentary from Paul Westerberg (from a contemporaneous interview) and producer Jim Dickinson's son Luther. Fascinating. And the bits of the songs made me want to crank it up. Loud.

Listening for the first time to the new remix of Tim by the #Replacements and it is phenomenally great. After 30+ years of listening to the original version of the album it's amazing how much richer and clearer the sound is in the new mix. One of the best albums of the 1980s, and even better now.
