Me encuentro en el proceso de adquirir una pequeña impresora láser monocromo para usar con Debian. Estuve a punto de comprar el modelo X de la marca X pero, por suerte y gracias a la iluminación de nuestro señor, don Kropotkin, le consulté a Riky. FedeUno de los frutosDi mis primeros pasos en el mundo de GNU/Linux y en los problemas y perspectivas que planteaban el software de código cerrado y el software libre y de código abierto en 2006. Pero no fue hasta 2012 comencé a explorar las redes sociales “libres” o “alternativas” como Diaspora* y GNUSocial donde, alrededor de 2013/2014, uno de los usuarios de estas redes llamó mi atención. Fue por lo “intenso” de su defensa del software libre, por su vocación pedagógica y su compromiso social y político (que fue haciéndose más notorio con el paso de los años, no tanto al principio). Este compromiso político al que refiero nunca fue partidario sino político en su sentido más original y genuino, como herramienta de transformación. Y empecé a seguirlo silenciosamente en las redes que comentaba más arriba aunque pasaron unos cuantos años más hasta que mis primeros contactos con él comenzaron.Hoy es una figura muy importante para mí, un faro, un ejemplo de constancia y compromiso, de superación de las adversidades coyunturales y de la vida, similar a mis otros mentores que son <a class="u-url mention" href="https://mastodon.uy/@santiago" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@santiago</a> de Undernet y <a class="u-url mention" href="https://fe.disroot.org/users/muppeth" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@muppeth</a> de Disroot.Y por fin ayer, despúes de 10 años de seguir sus pasos y aprender de su experiencia (que generosa y desinterasadamente comparte con todas las personas), pude conocerlo personalmente para confirmar que todas estas impresiones mías tienen fundamentos sólidos y para acrecentarlas aún más.Así que gracias, gracias <a class="u-url mention" href="https://fe.disroot.org/users/rikylinux" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@rikylinux</a>, por abrirme las puertas de tu hogar y de tu vida. Ha sido una hermosa y gratificante manera de terminar este año tan complicado.
