When temporarily operating abroad, some years back on #HF it used to be common to spell "/" as a "stroke". On several occasions I operated on #hamradio #satellites and used this form too but it seemed to me to cause some confusion. I sometimes hear on air this symbol being pronounced as a "slash" (and, in one memorable instance, the operator did not pronounce it at all, simply gave the country prefix followed by their call sign). How do you spell the "/" when operating abroad?
