LAYERED<p>I'm currently rebuilding my website. It's amazing what you can do with <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Publii" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Publii</span></a>. It's still my favourite static website generator.</p><p>I started with one of my projects, the <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/NeXT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NeXT</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/SoundBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SoundBox</span></a> mini. I tweaked the <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/CSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CSS</span></a> and custom <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/JavaScript" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JavaScript</span></a>. I think I can use that as a basis for the rest of the website. 😃</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/WebDev" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WebDev</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/NeXTComputer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NeXTComputer</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/VintageComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VintageComputing</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrint</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Shapr3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shapr3D</span></a></p><p><a href="https://new.layered.work/projects/next-soundbox/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">new.layered.work/projects/next</span><span class="invisible">-soundbox/</span></a></p>
Adam Wilbert<p>Looking to add a built-in window seat/blanket storage to a bay window. Tonight I got started drafting a model of the window as it is today in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Shapr3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shapr3D</span></a>, and can begin figuring out the pieces tomorrow.</p>

LAYERED<p>For three months now, I've had a <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/P1S" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>P1S</span></a> in addition to my <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/BambuLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BambuLab</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/X1C" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>X1C</span></a>. I've had the Panda Touch Display from <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/BigTreeTech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BigTreeTech</span></a> since January of this year. It's a great device. But now it's time to find its place on the P1S.</p><p>For this purpose, I have designed a dock that can be tilted with a hinge, similar to the one on the X1C. Cal Moody<p>I'm just using it for solo projects, but I am continually impressed with <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/shapr3d" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>shapr3d</span></a> on the iPad. It's by far the most intuitive CAD software I've used – the gestures and Apple Pencil functionality is exactly what I expect every time. I can model things so quickly now, it's awesome!</p><p>Now if only Bambu Labs would release their slicer software for the iPad, it would be a perfect workflow...</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/cad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cad</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/bambu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bambu</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/bambulab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bambulab</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ipad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ipad</span></a></p>

Cal Moody<p>I wish it had a more affordable hobbyist tier, but man, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/shapr3d" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>shapr3d</span></a> on the iPad is so cool! It’s extremely intuitive to draw models up with the Apple Pencil and the app runs so well (it had better, given my iPad has an M-series chip). Love the visualization mode too. If you can afford it and want to model from your iPad, I think it’s worth the investment.</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/cad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cad</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ipad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ipad</span></a></p>
LAYERED<p>Maybe it's totally over engineered. However, I really like it. I even designed an SD-Card insertion/removal tool for my <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/xtouch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>xtouch</span></a> enclosure. 😃</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrint</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Shapr3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shapr3D</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/BambuLab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BambuLab</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@3Dprinting" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>3Dprinting</span></a></span></p><p><a href="https://collaborate.shapr3d.com/v/KLw5kk-mdmH4hnaSAFuqx" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">collaborate.shapr3d.com/v/KLw5</span><span class="invisible">kk-mdmH4hnaSAFuqx</span></a></p>

「ʀᴏʙᴇʀᴛ」<p>Looking for an alternative for <a href="https://c.im/tags/Shapr3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shapr3D</span></a> for simple <a href="https://c.im/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> modelling (Shapr3D is nice, but it’s just too expensive for what it offers me, plus the whole cloud part of it). macOS or cloud, but really prefer running locally.</p><p>Tried <a href="https://c.im/tags/Onshape" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Onshape</span></a>, but don't like it. I once tried <a href="https://c.im/tags/FreeCAD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeCAD</span></a> but immediately got lost. <a href="https://c.im/tags/Plasticity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Plasticity</span></a> might be the best alternative, although it's also not very cheap (but at least it's a one-time payment, not subscription-based like Shapr3D).</p>
LAYERED<p>After finishing my <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/TouchID" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TouchID</span></a> button (the wired version), I decided to design a wireless version, too. It uses the built in battery from the „Magic Keyboard with Touch ID“. The battery still can be charged through the Lightning port, but the button operates wireless.</p><p>The good thing of this design: It needs only 2 screws! 🤓</p><p><a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrint</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Shapr3D" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Shapr3D</span></a> <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/TouchMagic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TouchMagic</span></a></p><p><a href="https://collaborate.shapr3d.com/v/zfsWKEAjwj0HEnvW1izdO" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">collaborate.shapr3d.com/v/zfsW</span><span class="invisible">KEAjwj0HEnvW1izdO</span></a></p>
