avs :donor:<p>It’s a great year if you want some FPGA powered <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> flavoured toys: the new Commodore 64 line, and the ZX <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/SpectrumNext" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpectrumNext</span></a> Issue 3.</p><p>I’m fully saturated on the C64 front though, but still curious about the Next. Especially the Magenta version.</p><p>But I really don’t know why I’d need a Spectrum. I asked the hivemind about this earlier when I was wondering whether to buy a Harlequin kit - I did, but I am still not sure why I need a <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Spectrum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Spectrum</span></a> 😀 Please convince me.</p><p>In the 1980s, I only used the rubber-keyed 48k once to try out a BASIC program at a local department store’s computing section. So I don’t have that ”connection”.</p>
