For most people, the problem will be getting anyone to even thinking about skimming such a book. For some people, they'll read it and still not understand.</p>

ikuo<p>I'm reading <a href="https://mas.to/tags/TheClimateBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TheClimateBook</span></a> by Greta Thunberg and learning a LOT!</p><p>I'm struck by the parallels between the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/ClimateCrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateCrisis</span></a> & the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/pandemic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pandemic</span></a> in terms of how, in both cases, addressing the problem requires people to completely change norms & behaviors.</p><p>A couple times, the book (published in 2022 & so written even earlier) holds up the covid pandemic as an example of how "in times of crisis... our societies can quickly change our behaviors and practices, for example wearing a mask..." No note, no explanation who ordered it, just a random book in the mail.
