@yuliyan I'm rather pleased to see that, whenever we get a rental car, how Toyota has never fully gotten rid of physical buttons. In contrast to, say, VW, whose everything touch-based #UI was a #UX nightmare each time we got a car from that conglomerate.

And in their case, the argument of customizabitlity doesn't even hold: they even use purely touch-sensitive, non-haptic controls dedicated to temperature or A/C fan settings, for example. (1/2)

The existence of a product like Synology Photos running in an operating system of a fucking hard drive is a failure of the way we designed personal computers. Why do we need more tech to solve problems that already owned tech is able to solve but misdesigned to be as inconvenient as it can be?

Showing photos is not a huge deal technically. Neither is storing data.

Every single data explorer should be able to work as a personal photo library effortlessly.

It's happening! Thanks to some great work behind the scenes by bruvzg, Godot just got real SVG support for user interfaces - they now scale rather than stay rasterized at the same resolution!

You'll also notice text stays sharp when scaled even without MSDF; another boon of the new oversampling system. The wait for Godot continues.

Eigentlich mag ich ja #antennapod. Aber dass man da plötzlich für Untertitel die ich nie bestellt habe von Google eine Sprache runterladen soll um dann Untertitel die ich nie bestellt habe in einem Overlay angezeigt zu bekommen ohne diesen Unfug (der ohnehin Opt-In sein müsste) sinnvoll anschalten zu können nervt. Dass man das Fenster einfach rausschieben kann habe ich erst dann bemerkt als eine ergebnislose Recherche nach dem "Feature" schon ordentlich Blutdruck erzeugt hatte.
