@feditips Quick question, is there a way to mute or filter instances out of my feed? (specifically 'sportsbots.xyz', which is just regurgitating crap from tw*tter). Can the same be done with hashtags?

@Mayor_of_Smartarse

Yes! Go to one of the posts from the instance you want to silence, click on ... and then "block domain".

Bear in mind this will also remove any followers you have from that instance, but in the case of a bot instance this won't be a problem.

Alternatively, use filters to hide/block posts with particular words or phrases:

Just use the hashtag without the # as your filter to hide posts with that tag.

@feditips Thanks, I knew there was a quick way. Yeah, when I click over to the Fediverse option, there's a lot of porn, mostly hidden without any descriptors, but if it has tags, at least I can filter it out, or at least the stuff I'm not interested in 🤣🤣🤣

EDIT: I had to login through a browser to do it, the app doesn't give me the 'block domain' option.
