I am once again broken by what I am learning today:
- By how badly Gaza’s major hospital was destroyed and patients left…many emaciated, burned and crushed.
- By the killing by Israel of aid workers at World Central Kitchen, which I’ve supported in its humanitarian effort in Gaza.
- By Israel’s bombing of Iran’s embassy in Syria to assassinate a military official.
How are these crimes allowed? Even Israelis are protesting. Would the U.S. stand by if ANY other country had bombed an embassy??
@MelodyCooper Agree, but it's not as if US had not bombed an embassy before. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_bombing_of_the_Chinese_embassy_in_Belgrade
The United States has a long history of criminal force projection to achieve our interests. It's also been guilty of ethnic cleansing and/or genocide. The World Wars were convenient blips where we could safely claim to be defending the world while a certain minority profited from them in money or influence. Afterward we went right back to criminal force projection, time after time.
There are in fact not very many developed nations that can fairly sit in judgement.
