Just putting it out there. Not all EV's are dishonest about their range. My #Skoda Enyaq is surprisingly precise, even at bit conservative.
I have experienced battery anxiety now twice. Having a car that is conservative when estimating remaining range, is a good thing.
Congrats.
Not a pleasant feeling. I've heard it called "rækkeviddeangst" in a Norwegian sketch and I love everything about it.
Interestingly, the conservative part sets in when the battery runs low. Then the actual range invariably turns out to be quite a bit longer than suggested.
@SuneAuken My Honda e usually isn’t far off either, and it adapts to shifts in driving patterns fairly fast.
I wonder if there’s a correlation between “range marketing” and optimism (Teslas aside, as they’ve been verified as being intentionally misleading when the battery is above 50%)?
@SuneAuken One of the best features of my bolt is the range range gauge. It gives the high medium and low range with a trend indicator that moves up or down the range so you know where your current range is based on driving conditions.
@SuneAuken Our Tesla Model 3, which we've had for >4 years now, is decently accurate too
