NGL i dont understand the idea of "building a following".
Maybe its my anti-hierarchical egalitarian ethos.
Maybe its neurodivergence.
Maybe a community is defined by reciprocity to me.

It’s like high school mindset —people wanting to be being “popular.”
IMO those who stayed on Twitter after it became a toxic oozing pustule called X, because they had many followers there, owe it to those followers to LEAD them to a place where they can enjoy a better social media experience.
In fact, a person with a 100 k followers on X led me to mastodon.
