I loved the doorways in Paris and Amsterdam and took lots of photos in 2014. I've decorated my place with these.

A doorway in Amsterdam. The doors are simple and painted glossy black with brass hardware. The walls are plain and white. There is an ornate sculpture relief above the doorway in an arch showing four cherubs and 2 skulls around a sarcophagus.

A simple black doorway in Amsterdam up several stairs from the street. A bike is parked in front of the stairway and there is a large window -much larger than the door to the right. There is a double door underneath the window and partially obscured because it is below street level. The exterior brick is dark gray and the recessed areas around the black doors and black-trimmed windows is white. There are plain white curtains hanging in the windows. The streetsign on the wall is blue with white lettering that says "Reestraat Centrum" and "De 9 Straatjes Centrum".
