NYT—Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu of #Israel on Tuesday brushed aside President #Biden’s opposition to a planned ground invasion of the southern #Gaza city of Rafah, saying that his government would press ahead despite pleas for restraint from the U.S. and key allies.
@GottaLaff
Biden has to say "then you are on your own." Stop everything but Iron Dome. Stat!

Our commander-in-chief is aware of a lot more than am I so I'm personally not informed well enough to suggest that I know better than he does, but a lot of people to seem to think that they do nowadays.
@GreenFire @GottaLaff
I base my comment solely on his comment that that would be a "red line"
@dbc3 @GottaLaff
Yes, but he did not say what policy he would implement if that red line were to be crossed.
Your assertion wasn't all that bad. I had just seen a lot of Arab-American posts setting red lines for Democrats or else they'll vote for Republicans so I was a little worked up I guess.
These are not black & white problems with black & white solutions. Anyways, I'm so glad that us voters have been able to bring the two-state solution back into the conversation finally again.
@GreenFire
My comment was perhaps overly explicit, but it was in fact prompted by a deep respect and admiration for JRB. I spent a little time with him on the campaign 16 years ago, and as do so many who meet him briefly, felt that we "bonded." It was more in the nature of advice to a friend than presuming to dictate. I am 99% certain that he has thought about that, considered it, and was just saying "go ahead, Joe. Trust your instinct. It's time."
Ps: he has been in favor of two-state for a looong time. It saddens me that this obscene war has done so much to heighten the animosity and destroy what gains Pres Carter made in turning down the heat in the area.
@dbc3 @GottaLaff
I know about Biden's long support for the Palestinians which is why I have been bristling so much at this Putin-energized efforts to portray him as an evil person.
I obviously made a mistake with my first impression of you, pardon.
