18/ Golden beets and Chiogga beets. Will grow again.
Planted these in late March in raised garden beds and in pots with tropical trees/vines. The ones grown with the trees produced larger tubers. I think the tree roots hold water in the soil bc they get watered less than the raised garden beds. The trees are also grown with beans.
Did well in the heat, but they were a little bit sheltered from the sun. Didn’t notice any storm damage. Rats nibbled on a few tubers. Beds/trees were caged.
