Does anyone know to whom these feathers belong? iNaturalist says wild turkeys but I’ve never seen them around these parts. The largest feather is a foot long.
East coast, NC. The largest bird I saw today was a Turkey vulture.
@jblue Nice find. They do look like primary feathers of a wild turkey. US Fish & Wildlife have a Feather Atlas you could give a whirl. https://www.fws.gov/lab/featheratlas/idtool.php
@danmccullough thanks!
@jblue They are in fact Turkey feathers. I have several myself.
