There are lots of ways to support Signal.
- Go to http://Signal.org/donate. We accept DAF, stocks & cryptocurrency. We even accept checks & cash for the low-tech among us.
- Donate in the app: Settings > Donate to give or give on behalf of a friend.
Thank you for using Signal!
@signalapp Private messengers should accept private donations like @monero and shielded @zcash . Let me know how I can help to make this happen!
@ianonymous3000 +1 for the Monero support. @signalapp @monero @zcash
@signalapp Not enabling "crypto" payment shit would be a good idea as it mostly enables bad actors.
@signalapp I love my little rocket
@signalapp What is DAF asking for a European.
Yeah, you'll want to get busy with that fundraising, because they are supposedly coming after you nn-profit status.
@signalapp for the "unponzied" amongst you, you mean
@signalapp I will donate a lot, instantly, if you finally allow for Signal instances to run on more than just one (i)phone.
@tommyb @signalapp i have signal in two phones. For that purpose, in the main one I use signalapp whereas in the other I use @mollyim
@antoniovr @signalapp @mollyim interesting info, thanks. As I have 2 iPhones, not (yet?) for me :-(
If we donate in the app, do you get 100% or does Google/Apple take a cut?
@simmer @signalapp Signal gets all of it. You're making a payment like you would with a credit card, not purchasing an app, which would be subject to the app store cut given to Google and Apple.
@simmer@sfba.social @signalapp@mastodon.world Apple, yes. Google? idk, I installed Signal from web and has no GMS at all.

I guess if you don't pay via google play that would be fine?
@simmer @signalapp no, they do not get a cut. Source: https://support.signal.org/hc/en-us/articles/360031949872-Donor-FAQs#cut
