I am not sure why I would remember this. In the First World War, there was a disastrous recruiting program in the British Army called "pals" that promised enlistees they could serve alongside their friends and neighbors. The sad reality was that entire towns, and villages were wiped out in some of the bloodiest battles of that terrible war. With my apologies to Coca Cola, when I saw these bottles, I was reminded of it..

A quick search seems to show Sinalco is produced by a fully German company I never heard of before, and I think pretty much every store in Germany sells it. I also remember seeing it in stores in many other European countries.
My village store doesn't stock them, but it also comes in crates, so I assume they also have reusable bottles and not only single-use plastic, which would be nice.

I recommend giving it a try to anyone who doesn't want to pay #CocaCola to fund #DonaldTrump and his regime.

Vita Cola with lemon is vile. I'm glad I got a small bottle, because I'm not finishing that.

trendic Cola is okay. Not too bad, but it has a weird slight walnut note I'm not fond of.

Sinalco Cola is actually quite nice. It feels a bit "lighter" than Coca-Cola (though basically the same amount of sugar) and the taste isn't quite as strong. I think I might even come to like that.
