Phil Haigh<p>Had a good day on the whole but finished on a bum note. One of the two Digitrax auto-reversers (BXPA1) on my layout has decided to stop working. Exactly the same symptoms as the previous… TWO failures. Auto reversing works but the loconet interface does not. If it’s plugged into loconet, the entire network simply stops working. Infuriating. Still waiting for the other failed units to come back from repair, as well. </p><p>This unit has been installed for MONTHS, there’s been no change to the system in weeks, and all of a sudden… poof. Gone. It sucks. Genuinely reconsidering my choice of DCC system at this point in time. </p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ModelRailway" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ModelRailway</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/DCC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DCC</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Digitrax" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Digitrax</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/BXPA1" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BXPA1</span></a></p>
Phil Haigh<p>This is getting silly. I now have four Digitrax BXPA1 reverse modules. The first two I bought (on the left) have both developed an identical fault, the LocoNet interface has died. I’m hoping it’s a batch fault that has evaded the other two I now possess, the second of which has just been installed over lunchtime.</p><p>Plan is to stick the faulty ones in the post for repair - they have to go to Florida for that - and then sell them on once returned. If neither of the other two develop a fault in the meantime (I really hope I’m not foreshadowing, here…)</p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ModelRailway" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ModelRailway</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Digitrax" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Digitrax</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Faulty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Faulty</span></a></p>

Phil Haigh<p>I may have just snapped up a quantity of <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Digitrax" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Digitrax</span></a> kit on eBay. Yes I’ve saved a lot of money. No I wouldn’t have been awake to buy it if my hotel room had aircon. </p><p>In my defence I’m sure it would have disappeared very quickly if I’d not taken action tonight. This stuff is hard to find in stock in the UK at any price so five modules second hand, all in full working order at about 65% of list is not to be sniffed at. <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ModelRailway" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ModelRailway</span></a></p>
