signal9<p>Yeah, that new hot end did the trick. Solid 18 hour print. I could see a physical tune-up, tighten belts, etc, but otherwise we're back in bidness.</p><p><a href="https://masto.hackers.town/tags/ender3pro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ender3pro</span></a> <a href="https://masto.hackers.town/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://masto.hackers.town/tags/fdmprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fdmprinting</span></a> <a href="https://masto.hackers.town/tags/battletech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>battletech</span></a></p>

Angela 💜 PartPurple<p>Ok, next question...</p><p>I swapped my hot end fans out to hopefully some quieter ones. The heat sink fan is working, but the hot end and motherboard fans are not. I've quadruple-checked the connections, and unless you need to be the Hulk to push them all the way in, they're in as far as they will go and firmly seated. Any thoughts??</p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/3DPrinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>3DPrinting</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Creality" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Creality</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Ender3Pro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ender3Pro</span></a></p>

This model is a test model from Smol Minatures - I wanted to validate I could handle the design before late pledging the Viking/Saxon/Frank project.</p>

Dialing it back in for printing 28mm tabletop minis because I don’t want to buy another printer. It’s a bit more work than, say, an a1. But the price is right!</p>

I can print a 20mm calibration cube at 0.2mm layer height just fine, but an actual print at 0.16mm layer height ends up squishing the print as the nozzle isn't quite high enough and starts dragging through the last layer. This screws up any tolerance for print-in-place hinges as the squished layers bridge the gap.<br>I'm at my wits end with this thing.</p>
