Or just an cool way to follow a hashtag and you do not even need a Mastodon account for it

Recently, I've seen all the Proton controversies (yes, I was off tech news for a time), and since then, I've been wanting to migrate my email account.

Fosstodon has always been a very pleasant bubble for me. After 3 months of being an admin, I know even more how much that was thanks to @kev and @mike .

I've seen some anger towards 'white techbros', but at the same time I haven't seen anything resembling abuse yet. OF COURSE this could be because I'm fairly new, or maybe I have a bias towards harrasment or maybe it's because the Fosstodon admins are doing a great job at keeping abusers out, IDK.
I just genuinely wonder: what is there to improve about Mastodon?

We’re looking for suggestions for a new translation tool for Fosstodon. What are some foss translation tools you’re using for your Mastodon instance?
I'll let you in in a little secret: you can live a totally happy & balanced life w/o dipping your toes too far in #SocialMedia. The one exception I personally make is for #fosstodon (a #mastodon instance) where I follow a few people, plus another handful of tech-related hashtags.
Other than that, I get my tech/programming news from specific weekly newsletters that I actively choose to subscribe to, which still allow me to keep a pulse on what's happening in the tech sphere. 1/2
The Fosstodon Android app just got a sharper update. Before, the main navigation menu was located on the right side of the screen. The new changes places the main navigation menu at the bottom of the screen. What do you think about these changes?

I still love the #fosstodon community, but I just ain't 'bout that 500 character life.
Not hatin', that's just a Mastodon thing.
GlitchSocial is worth checking out, as it's the best of both worlds, but, heh, potentially glitchy.

We're aware of an issue with emails not being sent from https://vote.fosstodon.org.
The smtp service that the Fider instance uses has set a 100 message per-day limit on the smtp agent until it's reviewed for full use by their team, and we're waiting for that review to complete.
