It’s not something many of us, who call ourselves #Christians do very well. Instead of looking into the souls of others & celebrating the image of the Divine in them, we seem to be turning away from anyone who does not show us God exactly as we perceive God to be & we are totally willing to force everyone, including God, to be what we think He should be. The problem is: that’s not God, nor is it what we are called to be as Christians. Jesus changed the world by emptying himself for the sake of others. We, in contrast, are trying to hold onto everything we have & grab ever more. We will succeed in changing the world, but not in a good way, because we want to be at the center of everything. We have forgotten, or never learned, how to be selfless like God is.
