@bhasic If I was to weigh-up #foxhunting then it would be from a practical point of view to ask if it scores any merit / reasoning?
(unfinished but making points)
Does it provide practical purpose to people ?
Example: Forests sometimes do need clearing of animals IF over-populated with tigers / foxes etc... hard to know this but locals usually do this caringly (having seen it in Europe taken foxes out to help forest) and to preserve feeding deer or wild pigs (which they propagate for food and keep them going too)
Problem would be putting a fox somewhere as a sport and not just local maintenance.
Does it provide nature / locals purpose ?
Example: Is it part of a larger subset of things which in a circle it provides. If not, then move on or consider it more artificial.
I like there are keeping horses alive for example, they look well taken care of and even horses / ponies can work as part of "old ways" as some hunting was part of living...

Some reasons so it's not just emotional (the suffering of animals aside for a moment) because being alive is a kind of paradox we're in for other species to die but we can do it based on real needs and maybe not luxury sports)
