David Wilkins
A day or two back, I posted a photo of the Healy Enigma kit car from this year’s Cambridge and District Classic Car Club show (first pic). This morning, while scrolling through the rest of my photos, I realised I’d also, quite by chance, snapped an example of the original Austin Healey, the car that inspired the Enigma, in the same colour and from the same angle. David Wilkins
This was a new one on me - the Healy Enigma, a Mazda MX-5/Miata based kit car designed to emulate the look of the Austin Healey from the 1960s. One option - a 4.0-litre Lexus V8, although I’m not sure if this one is so equipped. Note the headlamps borrowed from the BMW Mini. Not particularly my cup of tea but I’m pleased that things like this exist.
