Just not as a service anymore and more as utility. 🫠</p>
Alejandro Baez<p>And now I found out about <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/turso" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>turso</span></a>, an <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/sqlite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sqlite</span></a> service provider. 😅 They're using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/libsql" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>libsql</span></a> fork to make this doable.</p><p>The premise on the service is simple. They build a distributed sqlite set up. You as a user can then use that.</p><p>Knowing full well how to make a distributed sqlite and with backup control, this can take a lot of time. I can see value in that. 😅 </p><p>And considering <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/litefs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>litefs</span></a> cloud is deprecated... It may be a good try. 🫠</p><p><a href="https://turso.tech/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">turso.tech/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

Markus 🤓✨<p>I've started building my public-data-enrichment-platform using <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/flyio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>flyio</span></a>, <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/SQLite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SQLite</span></a> and <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/LiteFS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LiteFS</span></a>, and <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Golang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Golang</span></a>. Fly is just such a breeze to work with.</p><p>Not only do I now deploy to Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Frankfurt all at once (the platform is for Danish customers) for redundancy, but since by Grafana cloud setup automatically picks up the new app from Fly's Prometheus, I've got monitoring working right after deploy.</p><p>Works so much easier than anything AWS ever offered!</p>
