On the Fitness stage, it is now April and I have been going to the Gym daily since Late December.

Weight wise I have only lost 10 pounds. But I am noticing that my stomach seems to be slimming out slowly.

The most important thing though is that my right leg, which has had swelling problems since I broke it in February of 2022, seems to not be swelling nearly as badly as before. Either it's more uniform or I am actually getting benifit there.

Laying down in my van, pondering how to try and design the interior.

I can just barely lay down completely and extend all the way between the back windows. That's a good sign.

We still are probably gonna get rid of the chair lift, but I wonder if that's really a good option. I am kinda thinking that maybe keeping it in and streamlining the interior is a better idea.

Of course pulling out the entire interior first and laying sound dampening and insulation is an idea I prefer in general.

Edmonton demands $25k in costs against human rights coalition to create “deterrent effect” against public interest lawsuits defending unhoused people

The city of Edmonton argued in court Thursday that it wants $25,000 in costs from the Coalition for Justice and Human Rights (CJHR), a non-profit group that sought to challenge the constitutionality of Edmonton’s encampment sweeps policy on behalf of Edmonton’s unhoused people because a large penalty would act as a deterrent against future lawsuits.

Why Edmonton’s public spaces bylaw debacle matters to everyone

The business owners and conservative politicians arguing for Edmonton’s draconian public spaces bylaw last week had two silent partners—the UCP and the Edmonton Police Service. And that’s why what happened with this bylaw matters outside of Edmonton city limits.

The 15 worst things about Edmonton’s new public spaces bylaw

In January, Mayor Amarjeet Sohi and city council declared a housing and homelessness emergency. The very first bylaw that city manager Andre Corbould has come back with since then is a Public Spaces Bylaw that not only further criminalizes and punishes the poor and the homeless, but brings in harsh restrictions on political protest.
