Terry Hancock (Director/Producer)<p><span>Of course, it might have been more intuitive to the audience for Hiromi and Georgiana to be together on the flight, but on the Soyuz, the pilot sits in the middle seat, so Sergei has to be there.<br><br>Hiromi is occupying the position normally reserve for the "Flight Engineer", which means she's doing some crew work on this flight.<br><br>The seat Georgiana is in is the euphemistically labeled "Spaceflight Participant" position. The only thing on her side of the console are the breakers and some cabin life-support indicators.<br><br>Another thing we thought about it is that we have a man, a woman, and a child, so the audience will likely guess they are a nuclear family unit, but no.
