Kevin Karhan :verified:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://tweesecake.social/@adisonverlice" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>adisonverlice</span></a></span> IDK about FCC regulations.</p><p>All I know in <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/Germany" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Germany</span></a> is that <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.bund.de/@BNetzA" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>BNetzA</span></a></span> does allow <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/data" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>data</span></a> transmissions on select CB radio channels in that 27MHz band which is also an <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/ISM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ISM</span></a> band where they are tertiary users.</p><ul><li>And whilst licensed amateur radio operators are not allowed on it, unless one violates <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/SpectrumRegulatioms" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpectrumRegulatioms</span></a> by using a transmitter not certified for compliance and/or illegal transmission amplifiers and/or excessively and disruptively acts on it, noone really cares.</li></ul><p>There are bigger <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/SpectrumViolators" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpectrumViolators</span></a> with higher priority for them to search & arrest, like unlicensed and illegal users of restricted frequences like fmr. 2m & 4m emergency services radio bands, illegal <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/UHFSATCOM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UHFSATCOM</span></a> in the 243 MHz band among other things.</p><ul><li>Same goes for any <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/SpectrumAllocation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SpectrumAllocation</span></a> incl. <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/LoRa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LoRa</span></a> / <a href="https://infosec.space/tags/LoRaWAN" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LoRaWAN</span></a>: Worst-case one could use that or other options...</li></ul>
