I don't know how I still haven't learned the lesson: Never leave a Mastodon tab open in Firefox if you receive any interaction to your posts. The tab will balloon in memory usage to the point of crashing the tab. Or in this mornings case, completely lagging my entire workstation. Javascript _bullshit_

So far I haven't even been able to ssh into my workstation, the fan is spinning like I'm compiling haskell monads.

How this hasn't been a issue for nobody else to receive any attention to fix in the past 6 years is fucking astounding.

And to top it off, modern computers and their bullshit soft power switches. Push power switch, nothing. Literally held the power switch for 60 seconds, no change. Unplug power cable. *computer actually shuts down*. Plug cable back in and I'm back at my desktop in <5 seconds.

Weibliche Wespenspinne (Argiope bruennichi)
Dieses Bild habe ich schon einmal gepostet, aber nochmal anders bearbeitet. Und witzigerweise wurde es genau vor einem Jahr aufgenommen: am 18.07.2024.

Female wasp spider (Argiope bruennichi)
I've posted this picture before, but edited it differently. And ironically, it was taken exactly one year ago: on 18.07.2024.

I think it's really good if open source projects set up their own Gitlab server, to have full control over their project.
But it's super annoying to register for each,if you want to report a bug. Especially if there is no registration with Github or Gitlab sign-on.
