Cette proximité entre le savoir des plantes et de la médicine et la sorcellerie n’est apparemment pas né au moyen-âge, et déjà à l’époque des grecs les sorcières étaient mal vues, même parmi les Dieux.Au final, je me dis que j’aurais beaucoup aimé lire cette version du mythe quand j’étais petite. ElluteUn très bon personnageJ’ai beaucoup aimé le style d’écriture et la façon dont il permet de développer le personnage de Circé.C’est écrit à la 1ère personne avec un style qui évolue au fur et à mesure que Circé grandit. Même si l’histoire se déroule sur des centaines voire des milliers d’année, elle évolue clairement d’enfant à femme et la narration est au service de cette évolution. Madeline Miller est maître dans l’art de montrer plutôt que de raconter. La plupart du temps ce sont les actions de Circé qui montrent ce qu’elle est.
