These four have adjusted well to life away from mom. (They were found in a car that had been towed.)

Four 1-week-old kittens sleeping. They are mostly lined up next to each other, but one of the torties is half on top of the white kitten. Nobody seems bothered.

Whew! Got the new kitten cam working with OBS. (I think the problem was a newline on the end of the rtsp string, maybe?)
(The old kitten cam got sprayed with bleach one time too many.)

New babies! Toulouse (orange), Marie (white), Duchess (tortie with a tail), and Beriloz (tortie with a little nubbin).

They are about 1 week old and even though they can't really see or hear, they are very fierce and hiss at everything!

Four 1-week-old kittens. There are two torties, one orange boy, and a white/cream girl. The photo is top down, so you can't see their closed eyes.

Rough day today. Over the weekend, little Chamomile started having increased respiratory rate and effort and just looked like crap. Given all his problems, we let him go this afternoon.

This is the sad part of fostering, but I feel better knowing we gave him a chance. He just had the deck stacked against him from the start.

Chamomile update:

He is not 100% (still weak and not yet playing), but he's eating almost entirely on his own, using the litter box reliably, and grooming!

I don't know what his long-term prognosis is, but I'm happy with the progress he's made in the last 10 days.
