En soutien au mouvement « Stop Pollution de Gabès », un ensemble d'organisations et de citoyen·nes appelle à « la mise en place de mécanismes de contrôle des multinationales en terme de responsabilité environnementale vis-à-vis des populations locales. »</p><p>Extrait :</p><blockquote><p>La colonisation française a lancé l’industrie du phosphate dès la fin du 19ème siècle pour fabriquer des engrais pour l'agriculture intensive, ou des détergents.&nbsp;Le déchet du phosphate, le phosphogypse,&nbsp;radioactif et bourré de métaux lourds,&nbsp;pollue l'eau et provoque massivement des maladies comme le cancer.</p></blockquote><blockquote><p>En Europe, à partir des années 80, les mines de phosphates ont été fermées suite à des études qui démontraient leur&nbsp;danger pour la santé et la nature. Mais en Afrique, les mines sont toujours en activité.
